Hoy voy a mostraros una de las zonas más nuevas de Cáceres, la Ronda Norte. Today I am going to show one of the newer areas of Caceres, Round North. La función para la que fue concebida es la de evitar que muchos de los camiones que cruzaban por el centro de la ciudad para ir al polígono, o empalmar con la Ruda de la Plata y así intentar desahogar un poco el tráfico de las avenidas principales. The function for which it was designed is to prevent many of the trucks that crossed through the centre of the city to go to the estate, or splicing with Ruda de la Plata and thus try to relieve some traffic from the main avenues.

El único problema que tuvo, fue que hubo que construir demasiadas rotondas para los pocos kilómetros que son (para enlazar con las distintas zonas de la ciudad) y esto para vehículos de gran tonelaje se hace algo incómodo. La Ronda Norte comienza en el nuevo cuartel de la Guardia Civil (a un kilómetro de la entrada a la ciudad y de la cárcel) y termina en la rotonda que enlaza con la Ruta de la Plata (Autovía que cruza España de Norte a Sur, que va desde Gijón hasta Sevilla) y con otras avenidas de entrada a la ciudad. The North Round begins in the new headquarters of the Guardia Civil (one kilometre from the entrance to the city and the jail) and ends at the roundabout linking with the Route de la Plata (Spain highway that crosses north-south, ranging from Gijon to Seville) and other avenues of entry into the city.

Esta Ronda bordea a Cáceres por completo, pudiendo ir de una punta a otra sin tener que atravesar por el centro, con la consiguiente ganancia de tiempo y de tranquilidad. This Round borders completely to Caceres can go from one end to another without having to go through the center, with a consequent saving in time and tranquility.

Aquí comienza la Ronda Norte. Here begins the Round North.

La Inmensa Rotonda que tuvieron que construir para enlazar con la Ronda y que también enlaza con el nuevo Cuartel de la Guardía Civil. The Huge Rotunda that had to construct to link to the Round and that also links to the new headquarters of the Guardía Civil.

Puente que sirve de paso para los peatones por encima de la Ronda. Bridge which serves as a passage for pedestrians over the Round.

Final de la Ronda Norte. Final Round North. Se está empezando a construir muchas viviendas por esa zona (bastante alejada del centro). It is beginning to build many houses in the area (rather remote from the center).

Rotonda en la Ruta de la Plata, la cual también enlaza con la Ronda Norte. Rotunda at the Ruta de la Plata, which also connects with the North Round. En esa zona se encuentran varios centros comerciales, como el Eroski (Edificio de múltiples tiendas, conocido por ese nombre simplemente por tener también una tienda de esa compañía, aunque realmente su nombre es otro) y el Carrefour.
